The Southern Tier Child Advocacy Center will hold a Princess Party on Sunday, January 29, at Bartlett Country Club. Bartlett Country club hosted an incredible gourmet event Saturday, January 21^st, its first wine-pairing dinner. The quality of the dinner courses and the dinner’s presentation were on a par with the best restaurants in Buffalo (Oliver’s, Sinatra’s), New Orleans (Tujaque’s), and New York City that my wife and I have visited. Bartlett has a true gem in Executive Chef Tim Brushingham, and the event allowed him to demonstrate his broad array of culinary skills.

The Bartlett Country Club Board of Directors has appointed Susan Tyrell to the position of Club Manager. Susan has been the Club's Office Manager for several months prior to her promotion.

PGA Head Golf Professional Terry Stiltner encourages Bartlett members to enjoy the fine weather forecast for the next week and get in some rounds of golf.

The Men's and Women's Club Championships as well as the MGA Scratch Steeplechase, rained out last weekend, have been rescheduled for Saturday, October 8^th.

Bartlett Country Club switches to winter hours beginning Saturday, October 1st. The club is open from 12:00 noon until 7:00 pm on Saturdays. The lunch menu is available from 11:00 am - 7:00 pm, and a limited dinner menu is available starting at 5:00 pm.

Bartlett Country Club's Men's and Women's Club Championships have been moved to Sunday, October 2^nd. The format is 18 hole stroke play, with tee times beginning at 8:00 am. The entry fee is $5.00.

The inter-club match between the Women's Golf Association of Bartlett and the Wellsville Country Club has been cancelled for this year. Two matches will be played in 2012. Please direct questions to Wendy Smith or the golf shop.

The Bartlett Country Club golf course will be closed for member play Sunday, September 25^th, until 1:00 pm owing to an outside event with a 9:00 am shotgun start.

The Bartlett Country Club Men's Golf Association Field Day and Dinner will be held Thursday, September 22^nd. Dinner will be served after golf from 5:30 - 8:00 pm and includes a roast beef carving station, a peel and eat shrimp station, a Ceaser salad station, and a mashed potato bar.

Bartlett Country Club hosts the 23^rd annual Leo Keenan Collegiate Golf Invitational. St. Bonaventure is defending their title of a year ago. The Bonnies have won 14 championships in the 22 year existence of the “Keenan” . Associate Director of Athletics Steve Campbell invites members of the community to come out and cheer on the Bonnies and see some outstanding intercollegiate golf.

The Bartlett Women's Golf Association will hold its annual Ryder Cup tournament Wednesday, September 13^th, with a shotgun start at 5:00 pm. Participants are divided into two teams and engage in match play using the Ryder Cup formats.

The Bartlett Country Club Men's Club Championship will be held Thursday and Saturday, September 15^th and 17^th. The 36-hole event is flighted by handicap and costs $5 to enter. The championship is open to all MGA members.

Frank Higgins, Chair of the Higgins Memorial Golf Tournament, invites Bartlett members to attend the tournament's Friday night party on September 9^th. The party begins at 6:30 pm on the patio and features music from the Strangers, complimentary wine and draft beer, a clam bar, carving station, and more.

The Higgins Memorial Golf Tournament will be held at Bartlett Country Club this Friday and Saturday, September 9^th and 10^th. The event includes a scramble Friday at 2:00 pm, a cocktail party Friday at 6:30 pm, and the golf tournament Saturday with a shotgun start at 11:00 am.

The Labor Day Better Ball Tournament, the couples Me & Mine Tournament, and Friday Night Couples Golf highlight a full golf agenda at Bartlett Country Club this Labor Day weekend.

Bartlett Country Club Manager Joe Coss and Head Chef Chris Maine introduced a new club dinner menu on Friday, August 26^th. Highlights from the menu were introduced during the President's Club party earlier this summer.

Bartlett Country Club will host the 2011 Memorial Golf Tournament on Saturday, August 27^th. The tournament has a shotgun start at 1:00 pm and will be followed by dinner and entertainment on the patio. All proceeds from the tournament will benefit charity.

The hours of operation for the Bartlett Country Club pool are daily from 12:00 - 5:00 pm daily beginning Monday, August 22^nd. The pool closes for the season after Labor Day, September 5^th.

Bartlett Country Club will feature live music by Dave Dorson on the patio Saturday, August 20^th. Drinks and dinner will be available on the patio as well. Music begins at 7:00 pm.

The Bartlett Country Club's annual Couples Member/Guest Tournament, originally scheduled for Sunday, August 14^th, will be held Sunday, August 21^st. Rain flooded the course Sunday morning, forcing the postponement.

The Front Loop (#1, #2, #3, #4, #5, #15, #16, #17 and #18) of Bartlett's championship golf course is closed for aerification of the greens. The Back Loop (#6, #7, #8, #9, #10, #11, #12, #13 and #14) remains open for play.

Corey Haas from the Wellsville Country Club won the 2011 Bergreen Junior Match Play Championship at the Bartlett Country Club on Saturday, August 13^th, defeating top seed Josh Stauffer of Pine Acres 2&1.

Bartlett Country Club will aerify the championship golf course greens on Monday, August 15^th, weather permitting. Call the Pro Shop (372-5176) on the availability for tee times. The tees will be aerified the following day, Tuesday, August 16^th.

Two matches in the Bergreen Junior Championship at the Bartlett Country Club were decided on the 18th hole.  No. 1 seed, Josh Stauffer, of Pine Acres, went to the 18th hole with 13 year old Nolan Ditcher of Cardinal Hills. Ditcher shot a one under par 34 on the front nine and held the lead over Stauffer until the 16th hole when Stauffer birdied to tie the match. Stauffer then won the 17th hole to take a 1 up lead and they tied the 18th. No. 3 seed, Corey Haas, of Wellsville won a 1 up match over Wilson Lockwood from Moon Brook. Both golfers played well as they shot 74 over the 18 holes. In other quarterfinal matches, Caleb Edwards of the host club beat Jordan Farnham of Bemus Point, 2&1, while John Forrest of Bartlett beat no. 2 seed Wil Bathurst 3&2. 

Bartlett member Chris Blocher won the 2011 SWNY-NWPA Men's Amateur Championionship, defeating Mike Edwards 7&5 in the 36 hole championship match Sunday, August 7^th. This is Blocher's 5th title, making him third in titles won behind Ted Kochan and Dan Stetz.

The Bartlett Country Club's annual Couples Member/Guest Tournament will be held Sunday, August 14^th. The format is a four-person scramble, and seniors 65 and above may play from the gold tees.

Pairings are set for the 2011 Betty Bergreen Junior Match Play Championship, which begins Wednesday, August 10^th and runs through through Saturday, August 13^th, at Bartlett Country Club. The field of 16 junior golfers qualified for the Bergreen based on their play in Penn York tournaments.

The 2011 SWNY-NWPA Men's Amateur golf tournament will be taking place August 2-7 at Bartlett Country Club in Olean. The tournament will feature a two-day qualifier on Tuesday and Wednesday, with match play on Thursday through Sunday. Entry deadline is at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 31. The entry fee this year is $125.00, which guarantees at least three rounds of golf at BCC. No post deadline entries will be accepted. Entries can be dropped off at the Pro Shop. Head PGA Professional Terry Stiltner announced the pairings for the second annual Bartlett Cup, to be held Sunday, July 24. The Blue Team consists of Frank Higgins (Captain), Randy Langdon (Captain), Scott Sheeser, Donald Grzankowski, Willard Simons, Dana Cornell, John Walsh, Joe Bowser, Jeff Crouch, Sean McNamee, Brian Kirk, Dick Young , Tom Buffamante, Justin Bowser, Chris Blocher, and Tim Hall.

The second annual Bartlett Cup will be held Sunday, July 24^th. 32 Bartlett MGA members will form two teams that compete in Ryder Cup formats, including better ball, alternate shot, and scramble.

The Bartlett Country Club Board of Directors announced that Anne Crouch will step down as office manager effective July 31, 2011 to pursue another opportunity. Anne will be replaced by Susan Tyrell.

Bartlett is pleased to announce a new menu available at the pool Mondays from 12:00 pm noon through 7:00 pm beginning July 11^th. The new BCC @ The Pool menu combines items for adults as well as kids.

Bartlett Country Club will host the Bartlett Ladies Open Tuesday, July 19^th. The tournament format is two of four best balls and is open to all lady golfers - Bartlett membership is not required.

The Bartlett Junior Golf Program will be held July 9^th through August 19^th. Hosted by PGA Head Professional Terry Stiltner and his staff, the program is open to all children ages 7 through 14 and provides an excellent opportunity for your child to receive sound instruction in the basics of golf.

Special events and golf outings will effect times when members can make tee times this week. The dates effected are Tuesday afternoon, Wednesday afternoon, Saturday morning and Sunday afternoon.

The 2011 Bartlett Country Club MGA Member/Guest Tournament, one of the highlights of the golf season, will be held Thursday - Saturday, July 7 - 9.  Thursday is a practice round, followed by flighted match play Friday and Saturday.

Bartlett hosts its 4^th of July weekend Better Ball Tournament on Sunday, July 3^rd. The tournament has handicap, scratch, and women's divisions. Make your own tee time between 8:00 am and 12:30 pm.

The June Stag Day event scheduled for Friday, June 24^th. has been cancelled.

The 22^nd annual Russell Houghton Memorial Pro/Am will be held Monday, June 13th at Bartlett Country Club. The Tournament enables Bartlett members to play with area PGA professionals in a team best ball competition. The event features lunch before and a buffett dinner and an awards ceremony after golf. Proceeds from the tournament benefit the Center for Family Unity, an Exchange Club sponsored non-profit organization that provides family support services for Cattaraugus and Chautauqua counties.

Bartlett Country Club offers a custom menu for Friday, June 3^rd. In addition, the patio bar is open tonight for drinks and dining, and the poolside grill is up and running and offers a special grilled menu.

The 2011 golf season at Bartlett Country Club restarted Wednesday, June 1^st. Golf cars are on the course, the practice range is open, and the weather looks great for the next week. Thursday, June 2^nd, is MGA Men's Day, and the Member/Member Golf Tournament is Sunday, June 5^th.

Bartlett Country Club will host the Johnsen Open Saturday, May 28th. The tournament format is two-person alternate shot, with separate divisions for men, women, and couples. Tournament proceeds benefit The Southern Tier Child Advocay Center.

Bartlett will host its annual Member/Member tournament on Sunday, June 5th. Proceeds from the tournamnet will benefit clubhouse improvement projects.

The Tuesday Night Men's League begins Tuesday, May 17^th at 5:00 pm. This is a Two Man 9-Hole League. To sign up for the league call the golf shop or show up Tuesday night at 5:00. If you do not have a partner, don't worry - we will find one for you!

The Bartlett Country Club greens crew will verticut all of the greens on the championship golf course on Tuesday, May 10^th. Verticutting removes thatch beneath the actively growing grass, allowing water and nutrients to reach the roots of the grass.

Bartlett Country Club will hold a Mother's Day Brunch Buffet from 10:30 am - 2:30 pm on Mother's Day, May 8. The Club will also offer its lunch and light dinner menu from 4:00 - 8:00 pm that Sunday.

The Bartlett Country Club Clubhouse began summer hours Sunday, May 1^st.  The Clubhouse is closed Monday. It is open Tuesday and Wednesday from 11:00 am to 9:00 pm for lunch and dinner. On Thursday and Friday the hours are 11:00 am to 10:00 pm. On Saturday the clubhouse is open for lunch and dinner from 11:00 am to 9:00 pm and on Sunday for breakfast, lunch and dinner from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm.

Olean General Hospital will hold its Golf to Fight Cancer tournament on Wednesday, May 11^th. Proceeds from the event will benefit cancer care at Olean General Hospital.

Bartlett Country Club will hold a thank you celebration for its President's Club Members on Friday, May 13, beginning at 6:00 pm. The event, restricted to President's Club members, will offer members an exclusive sampling of Chef Chris' new menu.

The 2011 Bartlett Country Club Men's Golf Association (MGA) kicks off play this Thursday, April 28, with a two-man better ball event. The entire schedule is available online and will be integrated into the Club's online event calendar.

The program will highlight postseason berths by both teams this season, with season recaps from both men’s coach Mark Schmidt and women’s coach Jim Crowley.

Head PGA Professional Terry Stiltner announced today that the Loop is open to walkers. The loop consists of the original nine holes of the course, holes 1 - 5 and 15 - 18.

The Bartlett Country Club Men's Golf Association will hold its annual Kickoff Dinner on Thursday, April 7^th, in the newly remodeled Grill Room. This year’s dinner will focus on communicating the details of several key MGA tournaments and events, as well as offering the opportunity to get an early start on signing up for them.

Bartlett's Women's Golf Association raised $3,700 for the renovation of the ladies' locker room through its Chinese auction held last Friday, March 11^th. The WGA thanks each member who contributed to the auction.

Bartlett will feature a Mardi Gras themed menu for the rest of the week beginning Ash Wednesday, March 9^th. Featured items include mini muffalettas, crepes, shrimp creole, chicken Big Mamou on pasta, shrimp etouffe’, cajun meatloaf, seafood jambalaya, and New Orleans style ribs. The Ash Wednesday menu will include Bartlett's Friday fish fry and haddock specials.

Mat Single T Comedy Club presents  comedian/magician Brian Miller  live this Saturday, February 19^th, at Bartlett Country Club.  There will be two shows (at 6:30 and 9:30 pm), both featuring Dan Fisher and followed by a meet and greet with the performers.

Bartlett Country Club will host the live broadcast of the Coach Mark Schmidt Radio Show in the Grill Room Mondays in January, January 10^th, 17^th, and 24^th, from 7:30 - 8:00 pm. The event is open to the public.

Bartlett Country Club will host its second Mat Single T Comedy Show on Saturday, January 22nd. The comedian is Dan Viola featuring Shaun Murphy. Doors open to the public at 6:30 pm, and the show runs from 7:30 - 9:00 pm.

Bartlett Country Club will host its first annual chili cook-off Sunday, January 23^rd starting at 4:00 pm. The winning recipe will be served in the Grill for the next year. The contest will also feature a free micro brew tasting courtesy of the Certo Brothers.

The Board of the Higgins Memorial Golf Tournament has offered to fund the redecoration of Bartlett's upper and lower dining rooms. The project will extend the redecoration of the foyer area, which was funded by the Club's 2010 Member/Member tournament.

The Bartlett Country Club Board of Directors has appointed Joe Coss to the position of Club Manager. Joe served as the acting manager for the past two months. He joins Office Manager Anne Crouch, appointed in November of 2010, to form the Club's management team.

Bartlett Country Club hosts its annual Holiday Ball Friday, December 17^th. The social event of the season begins at 6:00 pm with cocktails and hors d’oeurves at 6:30. Dinner will served at 7:15 followed by musical entertainment by The Strangers from 8:00 - 11:00 pm.

Bartlett's Children's Christmas Party is this Saturday, December 18^th beginning at 11:00 am. A breakfast buffet will be served prior to the arrival of Santa around noon.

Bartlett will host its 2nd Annual Thanksgiving Eve party Wednesday, November 24 featuring the acoustic stylings of local musician Ade Adu. Adu will in the Grill Room from 6 - 9.  We will dispense with our dinner menu in favor of a bar menu as we kick off the Holiday Season

Bartlett Country Club will hold its annual Seafood Extravaganza on Friday, October 22nd. This year's Extravaganza will include sushi rolls, poached salmon, shrimp stir fry and carved ahi tuna in addition to its traditional favorites.

Bartlett Country Club will hold its First Annual 2-Person Scramble on Saturday, October 9^th. Tee times for the scramble are available between 8:30 and 11:30 am, and gross and net winners will receive cash prizes.

Bartlett Country Club will host its annual Couples Member/Guest//Member/Member on Sunday, September 26^th. The event features a 10:00 am shotgun start as well as dinner after golf.

The Club will be closed this evening, Friday, September 24^th, for The Rehabilitation Foundation Fundraiser. We will be re-open for lunch Saturday, September 25^th,  but will close for dinner to hold The Turkey Federation Dinner that evening.

The WGA Trophy Dinner will be held this Wednesday, September 22^nd, at Bartlett. Trophies will be presented to event winners this golf season.

The MGA Field Day and Dinner, traditionally marking the end of the golf season, will be held at Bartlett this Thursday, September 23^rd. Dinner, a steak bake buffet, will begin at 6:30 p.m. following golf.

Bartlett Country Club will host the 22nd annual Leo Keenan Collegiate Golf Invitational this weekend, Saturday, September 18^th through Monday, September 20^th. St. Bonaventure is looking to reclaim the Keenan Invitational title after finishing 2^nd and 3^rd the past two years.

A group of members that frequent Bartlett's Grill Room noticed that the popcorn machine was on its last legs.  After some discussion the members decided to form an informal committee to replace the existing machine.

Recording artist Jamie Notarthomas will appear Live on the Patio this Friday, August 27^th,  from 6:30 - 9:30 pm at Bartlett Country Club. Notarthomas, an accomplished musician and a Bartlett favorite, will play a mix of his own music as well as covers of an eclectic blend of artists from the 60's through the 90's.

Head PGA Professional Terry Stiltner announced the teams and pairing for the 2010 Bartlett Cup, to be held Sunday, August 29th starting at 10:00 am have been announced. Teams are:

Bartlett Country Club will host the 2010 Memorial Golf Tournament on Saturday, August 28^th. The tournament has a shotgun start at 1:00 pm and will be followed by dinner and entertainment on the patio. All proceeds from the tournament will benefit charity.

This Wednesday night, August 25^th, is WGA Game Night! After golf come on in and enjoy some fun with your friends! Non-golfers are welcome.

The Bartlett Country Club Men's and Women's Championships will be held this weekend, Saturday August 21^st and Sunday August 22^nd. The championships are flighted and open to all golf members of the club.

Get ready for the event of the summer. Bartlett's Party at the Pool is scheduled for Friday, August 20^th. A Caribbean themed buffet and live entertainment by Neville Francis & the Riddum Posse will turn the Bartlett pool area into a Caribbean island.

Chris Mackey, who plays out of Pine Acres Country Club in Bradford, finished his junior golf career in style by winning the 2010 Bergreen Match Play Championship at the Bartlett Country Club on Saturday, August 14th. Mackey defeated defending Bergreen Champion John Forrest, of the host club, 3 holes up with 1 to go.

Marcus Aiello of the Bartlett Country Club defeated Josh Stauffer of Bradford's  Pine Acres Country Club, 1 up in the quarter-finals of the Bergreen Match Play Championship at the Bartlett Country Club Thursday, August 12^th. Stauffer was the # 1 seed in the Bergreen and is the 2010 WNY PGA player of the year in the 16-18 year old division. He was also the runner up in the last 2 Bergreen championships

Pairings are set for the 2010 Betty Bergreen Junior Match Play Championship, to be held Wednesday, August 11^th through Saturday, August 14^th, at Bartlett Country Club.

Josh Stauffer is the top qualifier for the Bergreen Junior Championship with an average score of 71.0. Zachary Hyman is second with an average of 72.0, and John Forrest is third with an average of 74.5.

The 74th Annual Southwestern New York - Northwestern Pennsylvania (SWNY-NWPA) Amateur Golf Championship will be held Wednesday throught Sunday, August 4^th through August 8^th at Bartlett Country Club. The tournament features an 18 hole medal qualifying round on Wednesday followed by flighted match play Thursday through Sunday. The tournament champion is determined by 36 hole match play on Sunday: all other flight championships will be determined by 18 hole match play Sunday.

Josh Stauffer leads all qualifiers for the Bergreen Junior Championship with an average score of 71.5 heading in to the last qualifying round to be held at Wellsville Country Club Monday, August 2^nd. Zachary Hyman is second with an average of 72.0, and Scott Brady third with an average of 74.0.

Member Michele Hoffman and guest Kathy Taylor shot a best ball score of 58 to win the 2010 Ladies Member/Guest Tournament Tuesday, July 20^th, at Bartlett Country Club. Lindsey Bower and Janae Koscial finished second, and Marie Simons and Cindy Haas finished third.

Brothers Jack and Mike Whipple won the 2010 Bartlett Country Club MGA Member/Guest Tournament, winning a match play shootout among the five flight winners. Flight winners include Jon and Tom Kirk (1rst), Jeff and Scott Grandusky (2nd), Bill Bradley and Dennis Jones (3rd), Trevor Horsley and Chris Traugh (4th), and Mike Threehouse and Jeff Spears (5th). Bartlett Country Club PGA Head Professional Terry Stiltner will conduct Bartlett's 2010 Junior Golf Program beginning Tuesday, July 13th. The program consists of six sessions from children between the ages of 7 and 14 and offers an excellent opportunity for kids to learn the game of golf.

Swimming lessons for children 4 years and older begin Monday, July 5th. Lessons are offered on Mondays and Saturdays at 10:00 am throughout the month of July.

St. Bonaventure tennis coach Michael Bates will offer a variety of tennis clinics this summer. Clinics include five week cardio tennis clinics (held at Bonaventure's tennis courts), four week stroke and strategy clinics (at Bartlett), and four week junior tennis clinics (Bartlett).

The 2010 Bartlett Country Club MGA Member/Guest Tournament, to be held July 8 - 10, will have a new format. This year's event will feature flighted match play Friday and Saturday, with flights consisting of six two-man teams. Flight winners will compete in a shootout to determine the 2010 Member/Guest champion.

The Holiday Better Ball Tournament, Couples Scoth Foursomes, and a Italian Buffet will be held Saturday, July 3rd. Please note the new date!

The Bartlett MGA will hold a clam bake on the patio Thursday, June 24^th, starting at 6:30 pm. The event is free to all MGA members.

Bartlett Country Club will host a Two of Four Best Ball Shamble on Tuesday, June 22nd. Organized by Head Pro Terry Stiltner, the event includes lunch (11:30 am), a 12:30 shotgun start, and dinner (6:00 pm).

The 21^st annual  Russell Houghton Memorial Pro/Am will be held Monday, June 14^th at Bartlett Country Club_^. The Tournament enables members to play with area PGA professionals in a team best ball competition. The event features lunch before and a buffett dinner and an awards ceremony after golf. Proceeds from the tournament benefit the Center for Family Unity, an Exchange Club sponsored non-profit organization that provides family support services for Cattaraugus and Chautauqua counties.

Toucan Jam will perform Live on the Patio while Chef Tim grills steaks to order and serves raw bar items this Friday, June 11^th at Bartlett Country Club.

Bartlett will host the annual Golf with the Bonnies Golf Tournament on Friday, June 11th. The format for the tournament is a four-person scramble, with an 11:00 am shotgun start. Basketball coaches Mark Schmidt and Jim Crowley as well as Athletics Director Steve Watson will participate in the event.

The Bartlett Country Club pool opens this Friday. May 28th,  at 4:00 pm. There will be an pizza party at 7:00 pm to celebrate the event.

The Bartlett Clubhouse will be closed at 5:00 pm for the JCC Benefit Tournament.

The Olean High School Alumni Association and the Olean City School District Foundation are co-sponsoring the RED & GOLD Scramble on Saturday, June 19 at the Bartlett Country Club in Olean, NY.  The golf scramble will occur during the 127th Annual OHS Alumni Weekend.  The annual golf tournament is a great way to enjoy your favorite game, catch up with fellow alumni and friends, and raise funds to benefit Olean City School District students.

Bartlett Country Club will host the 2010 Member/Member Golf Tournament on Sunday, May 16^th, with a shotgun start 10:00 am. The tournament will be a two-person better ball with both a men's and women's division. All Bartlett members are eligible to play.

The Bartlett Country Club Greens Committee approved the addition of new tee boxes on holes #6, #9 and #14. The committee, golf course superintendent Jim Wesley, and head golf course professional Terry Stiltner believe that the changes will "greatly enhance the playability and enjoyment of the couse" for those playing from the gold tees.

Celebrate Cinco de Mayo at Bartlett. Chef Tim will create authentic Mexican entrees from scratch, and there will be drinks specials featuring Dos Equis, Corona and Tecate and, of course, margaritas to celebrae the festival.
